This department of taxation is critical to the fiscal well-being of the state it serves, processing tax returns and payments received, collecting unpaid taxes and administering all state tax matters. The agency is particularly active during the traditional income tax season from January 1 through April 15 of each year, when it processes approximately 15 million tax returns based on over 100 different forms. The agency typically hired 45 temporary employees over a six month period to manually enter information from these returns into the agencys tax administration systems. This approach was time consuming, prone to errors and costly.
This agency selected Kofax for the companys unique approach to solving the agencys process automation challenges. Kofax TotalAgility will streamline tax return processing and greatly reduce the number of temporary staff hired, resulting in significant cost savings.
